Power and Mileage:
Beneath the fuel tank, the Race Edition 2.0 continues to get power from the same air-and-oil-cooled motor that supplies an adequate power delivery of 20.05PS @ 8500 rpm and 18.1Nm at 7000 rpm. It is the bike that gushes power with just a twist of throttle that there is no need of a lot more reviving and the short 1st gear is the blessing. Other power and performance facts for the motorcycle are as follows.
- 197.75cc Engine Displacement
- Max Power: 20.05 bhp @ 8500rpm
- Peak Torque: 18.1 Nm @ 7000rpm
- Five Speed Gearbox
- Top Speed: 127Kmph
- 0-60kmph Sprint: 4.53 Seconds
Riding and Handling:
If the ride quality of the bike in question is considered, it suspends over the suspension including telescopic forks up front and the 5-step preload-adjustable hydraulic rear monoshock tuned on the softer side. Makes the bike easily manageable at the rough road patches though on the large bumps it took a bit before regaining composure. Sometimes the pillion got imbalanced from seat owing to jolts while tackling potholes. The handling merits and demerits are as follows
- Careful While Cornering
- Better Grip on Dry Surfaces
- The scope of ABS Improvisation
- 60-0 Kmph: 21.09 meters
Safety:
For the safety, this ABS variant is equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit. Though as per the test review, the ABS units have a scope of improvement as the braking is not so intrusive if compared with the non ABS variant. Even the similar ABS units perform in a much better way if pulls lever decently.
- Front Disc Brake
- Rear Disc Brakes
- Dual Channel ABS
- Softer Suspension
Verdict:
The RTR 200 Race 2.0 edition with ABS comes out as a motorcycle with commuter-friendly dynamics, strong low and mid-range performance, comfortable riding experience, light clutch feel and fuel efficient one on serious testing. At the price tag of INR 1.10 lakh (ex-Delhi), INR 13,800 premium over the non-ABS version, the ABS variant is a strong contender for those who don’t have to do much highway riding.
