It was the first company to produce blue jeans, founded by Levi Strauss who was an American businessman borned in Germany.

The company was started as Levi Strauss & Co. in 1853 in San Francisco, California. Levi's features men's pants with metal points for more strength. In 1873, the company got the United States patent for the use of Copper rivets on the pockets of denim jeans. It uses the fabric from Amoskeag Manufacturing Company of Manchester, New Hampshire to produce its famous Levi's brand jeans.
