Renault has introduced the World Edition of its only Multi-purpose Utility Vehicle (MPV) in the Indian market, Lodgy today. With the new edition, the new Lodgy will be offered with the two power output options. The lower tuned engine comes with the price tag of INR 9.74 Lakh while the higher tuned motor carries a price tag of INR 10.4 Lakh.
Recently, the General Motors discontinued the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV from its Indian market lineup. And now Renault is trying to lure the buyers with this new World Edition of Lodgy. Considering the Indian MPV market, the Toyota Innova and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga are the only two best selling cars in the segment. This can be a good opportunity for the French automaker to give a tough competition to the segment toppers.

The World Edition Lodgy receives the ‘25 New Features’ to the insides and the outsides as well that the company claims to have introduced. On the launch, Renault India CEO and MD, Sumit Sawhney said, “The new changes on the exterior and interior will help to improve the Lodgy’s value proposition and appeal. We will continue to engage customers with this segment defining product and Lodgy will play a significant role in our growth plans in India, along with the other volume drivers.”
Coming to the exterior changes, the world edition Lodgy features a redesigned jewel-studded front grille, chrome treated fog lamps, dual-tone aerodynamic bumper, black wheel-arch cladding, Nepta finish 15-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler and a ‘World Edition’ badge.
Moving to the interiors, the glossy black foam steering wheel features a dual-tone ‘World Edition’ badge. The instrument cluster also redefined with the orange finished center ring.
Under the hood, the new World Edition Lodgy will continue the same 1.5-litre Dci diesel motor with two different states of tune. The higher one is tuned to produce 110 PS of power and mated to a 6-Speed manual transmission. Whereas, the lower tuned engine produces 85 PS of power and comes paired with the 5-Speed manual transmission. In terms of fuel efficiency, the French carmaker claims 19.98 kmpl and 21.04 kmpl for 110 PS and 85 PS engine configurations respectively.
The World Edition will be Offered in four exterior colours namely, Fiery Red, Royal Orchid, Pearl White, and Moonlight Silver. In addition to this, the company also offer 3CARE car maintenance package for an extra price of INR 22,142. The 3CARE package includes 3 years of warranty (up to 60,000 kms), 3 years for Road Side Assistance (up to 60,000 kms) and 3 years of Periodic Maintenance Service (up to 30,000 kms).
