2015 Harley-Davidson Street 500 gets uncovered in United States

Here comes the younger brother of the newly introduced lightweight motorcycle from the Harley-Davidson. The company had introduced Harley-Davidson Street 750 few months back in the fiscal year and claimed it to be the lightest weight motorcycle ever manufactured. The Street 750 has been introduced globally and is also available in India as well.

A little while back, the company had introduced its most affordable cruiser motorcycle, named as Harley-Davidson Street 500. The newly launched motorcycle features smallest engine, light in weight and it is pretty easy to ride, but instead of all these attributes, the centerpiece is that it will give you the pleasure of riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Discussing the technical specifications of the Harley-Davidson Street 500, the motorcycle will be featuring a Revolution X liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine, which gives an engine displacement of 494cc. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is capable to belt out 40Nm of torque. Some are hoping that it would give a better fuel mileage, but the manufacturer claims that it will only make out up to 17.4KMPL. However, they have used a Revolution X engine, but to be very honest there is nothing out of the ordinary in this motorcycle. What company is giving along with the Harley-Davidson Street 500, we've already been having it in the Harley-Davidson Street 750. The major difference stays in the engine only.

In terms of styling, the Street 500 is a true copy of Street 750. The company had given so much with the remaining models of Harley-Davidson; styling, designing, mechanism and on top of that the joy of riding. But, it seems that the company has cut down its budget to build the least expensive cruiser motorcycle. The Street 500 entirely receives a matte black theme, leaving the front and rear forks behind, which embellished with chrome. The cast aluminum alloy wheels, round-shaped headlight and the solely designed two-in-one exhaust tail gives this motorcycle a complete cruiser outfit.

Eventually, the Harley-Davidson Street 500 is priced at $6,799(4.11 Lakh INR) in the US market and will get manufactured at the Kansas facility, located in Missouri, United States.
