Few days back, the Yamaha Motor Company has announced that the company's largest manufacturing plant, located in Chennai will be ready to manufacture the newly launched Alpha Scooter. The 113cc scooter has been showcased by the company in the month of February at Delhi Auto Expo, 2014. And recently, on 22nd July 2014, Yamaha has proclaimed the launching event for the 125cc scooter in Vietnam. The scooter will be ready to take-off in the month of August.
The yet to launch scooter has brought up by the company as Nozza Grande. The scooter gets its power from an air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which gives an engine displacement of 125cc. The company claims that the new vehicle will be delivering a good acceleration along with a fuel-economic performance of 54KMPL. Till date, the scooter will get manufactured and retailed in Vietnam only.
Now, coming towards India, the industry sources says that the Indian market could have been blessed with the Nozza Grande scooter over the same platform or the company might have made some changes in the base model. The scooter has specially designed for the Asian market and would also get manufactured in Thailand as well. As I mentioned above that the production of Alpha Scooter will be commenced soon at the Chennai plant. And, the Yamaha Motors has also introduced a 125cc scooter along with an automatic CVT initially this year in the United Kingdom, named as Majesty S. Hence, it doubles the chances for the Nozza Grande to make its track towards India pretty soon next year.
The new 125cc scooter, Nozza Grande is codenamed as 04X. It is also expected that the scooter will get manufactured at the Chennai manufacturing plant, which will be inaugurated by the newly launched Alpha Scooter and will be operated from the month of November, 2014.
