2016 Ford EcoSport facelift Officially Teased Out

To make excitement among the people, the American automaker giant, Ford has unveiled its most anticipated Ecosport car with images. The teaser image that has been released with front fascia includes the front grille, headlights and fog lamps. The company has already presented this model concept in 2015 Geneva Motor Show and they are promoting this car online. The Ecosport will be rolled out before the Christmas. It gets a tough competition from Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Hyundai Creta and Mahindra TUV300.

The SUV will offer the same engine that is used by the ongoing model. To continue this, the petrol car will be powered by a 1.0-litre EcoBoost and a 1.5-liter TiVCT engines that produces the maximum output of 123.37bhp with 107Nm and 110bhp with 140Nm respectively. The diesel one gets the energy from a 1.5-liter TDCi diesel engine will churn out a maximum power of 100 PS at 3,750 rpm and 205 Nm of torque between 1,750 – 3,250 rpm. These engines are paired with a five-speed manual transmission as standard, while six-speed Powershift dual-clutch gearbox will be fitted only on the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol models.

The company claims that this compact SUV will be capable of giving the mileage of 22.27 km/l, same as the existing model. On the outset, it will be embossed with modified headlamps, LED DRL elements, revised skid plate and larger 17-inch alloy wheels. Furthermore, the back side of this vehicle is unchanged to some extent. For the Indian market, the spare wheel will continue to be mounted on the rear door. Inside the cabin, it will be equipped with a number of features, like a new 4-inch SYNC system with colour display, satellite navigation, Figo Aspire-inspired phone dock station and reverse parking camera.
