Along with JLR’s all new 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine option, the next-gen Jaguar XF premium sedan has been launched in India at the starting price of INR 49.50 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). One who wishes to buy this latest generation unit can have an advanced booking by paying a token amount of INR 5 Lakhs, while deliveries are going to commence from the end of this month.
The all new XF sedan will be available in three different variants namely Pure, Prestige and Portfolio. Apart from the Pure version, rest of the two are going to be offered with petrol and diesel engines, while the former is comes out only with a diesel unit option. Well, no such changes have occurred in its petrol version and it comes fitted with the same 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline unit that produces 237 Bhp of power and 340 Nm of torque.
The oil burner, on the other hand, is sourced from Ingenium family and powered by 2.0-litre guise. In terms of the performance, the motor can lead the car with a maximum power of 177 Bhp with a massive torque of 430 Nm. Both the motors come packed with an eight-speed automatic transmission as a standard attachment, which will dispatch the power to the rear wheel only.

Compared to the ongoing version, the new Jaguar XF is lighter in weight i.e. 190 kg thanks to the newly designed lightweight aluminium platform. Furthermore, the company has produced the vehicle with slightly less dimensions in terms of the height and length, while the wheelbase has been upsized by 51 mm in order to provide better legroom as well as knee room space.
On the designing front, it houses fresh LED headlamps together with ‘J’ blade daytime running lights fixed on each side of the regular front grille. The front bumper has also been redesigned and integrated with sleeker air intakes. Side profile remained intact, while the rear end of the car has been incorporated with double roundel, horizontally intersecting tail lights that are inspired from its sibling, the F-Type.
As the automaker is well known for its eye-catching interior, it maintains its trademark here as well. Along with 15 mm increased leg room space, it has been loaded with a slew of features such as 4-zone climate control, ambient mood lighting, a 10.2-inch infotainment system with touchscreen display, an instrument cluster with 12.3-inch TFT display, a laser HUD, and All Surface Progress Control driving technology.
