As the 2016 Fortuner has been rolled out in Thailand, the features are no secret. This vehicle is going to be equipped with various components like smart Key, Start/Stop technology, MID system with TFT display, electrically foldabale wing mirrors, multi-functional steering accompanied by paddle shifters, cruise control, rear AC vents, leather upholstery, chilled glove box, 7-inch infotainment with Bluetooth and navigation. On the safety front, facilities like 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, reverse camera with parking sensors, and TSC (Tractor Sway Control), etc are offered.

As far as the powertrain is concerned, it is available in Thailand with both 2.8 litre and 2.4 litre engines belonging to the GD family. The former is capable to make two output options of 150PS/400Nm and 177PS/450Nm. Transmission is handled by a 6-speed unit in both automatic and manual avatars. The base and mid level trims are found to have an FWD setup, while for the top end variants, an AWD setup is found.
