2017 Hero Passion Pro i3S Launched In India at INR 50,955 (ex-showroom Delhi)

The market leader in the Indian two wheeler market, Hero MotoCorp as for now is in reviving phase of the available product range. As the bike maker has recently added the i3S version of the HF Deluxe i3S on its official site. Though, the price of the motorcycle has not been revealed yet. Next in line, the 2017 Hero Passion Pro i3S has also been launched today in India. The drum brake with spoke wheel iteration (base model) of the motorcycle is priced at INR 50,955 (ex-showroom Delhi), a slight costlier than the previous model.

The other two versions – drum brake with alloy wheel and disc brake with alloy wheel, are available to retail at the price sticker of INR 51,095 and INR 53,805 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. Authorized Hero dealerships have already started to take bookings of the said trims only at INR 1,000. However, deliveries of the booked motorcycles are expected to be given in the coming two weeks.

Look-wise, the new Passion Pro does not get any significant cosmetic changes. But the motorcycle witnesses a major change of the i3s (start-stop system) employment in the engine. Besides, it also gets the Auto Headlamp On (AHO) feature, so you will miss out a headlight ON/OFF switch on the Instrument console.

If talk about the engine, the latest Passion Pro i3S is continuing to get power from the same old 97cc single-cylinder motor. Albeit, the motor is now BS-IV compliant and it is the second bike from Hero stable after the Achiever blessed with this norm. The motor will spit out the identical power and torque figures of 8.24bhp at 8000rpm and 8.05Nm at 5000 rpm respectively, as of the last going. The engine is coupled to a four-speed gearbox.

If considers Hero’s sales stats, the Passion Pro is one of the leading players and doing remarkably well for the Gurugram-based manufacturer. These subtle changes and new additions will avail the motorcycle to get a boost in sales, as the BS-IV emission norms and AHO features are going to be mandatory for all new two-wheeler launched in India. In this segment, 2017 Hero Passion Pro is in direct competition with the likes of VS Victor, Honda Dream Yuga and the Suzuki Hayate in India.
