2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Winter Test Edition Unwrapped in the US

In the US, Japanese giant manufacturer, Kawasaki has pulled the cover off from the updated range of Ninja 300. Include, standard trim with optional ABS feature, KRT edition, and a new Winter Test Edition. Possessing a slightly different styling, new Ninja 300 Winter Test Editon is equipped with a rear wide tyre.

In terms of styling, aggressively designed Ninja 300 Winter Test Edition comes painted in a distinct matte black scheme, which has been inspired by the Kawasaki’s World SBK racing team. Aesthetically, it shares a number of cues from its premium segment sibling the Ninja ZX-10R, comprises a floating-style windscreen, dual-headlamps, rear seat cowl and frame sliders, to offer a sportier yet elegant appeal. The major highlight of the Ninja 300 Winter Test Edition, is the placement of meatier 150 section rear tyre in place of standard bike’s 150 section rear tyre. Whereas, the KRT Edition has received a new pair of decals.

If talks about the propelling power, the motorcycle is embellished with a 296cc parallel-twin engine beneath fuel tank. As per the company, the said engine is capable of producing 39 bhp of power and 27Nm of torque through the mated six-speed gearbox transmission. An integrated slipper clutch aid is also given to the gearbox assembly for a quicker gear shift. A telescopic front fork along with a preload adjustable rear mono shock handle suspension duties. Where as a 290mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc brake, in addition with optional ABS system will perform braking jobs.

Here in India, it appears that this Winter Test Edition is not likely to be launched soon. But the Ninja 300 KRT edition will hit the market sometimes in October 2017. Where it will compete with the available rivals such as the Yamaha YZF-R3, KTM RC390, and the Hyosung GT250R.
