2017 KTM Duke 390 and Duke 200 Might Launch Tomorrow

Duke lovers!!! Be ready to experience the adrenaline pumping performance of the new generation KTM Duke range. A recent press invites note marked with ‘Block the Date’ from Bajaj stable, hinting the unveil of something interesting on 15 February. It would be exciting to know the products. But, as per an earlier announcement from Pune-based motorcycle maker, the secret could be turned into the 2017 KTM Duke 390 and a Duke 200 facelift.

If talks about the updates and new features inclusions on both these naked streetfighters, elder one, the 2017 KTM Duke 390 that was showcased at the EICMA show last year, is witnessing the serious modifications from front fascia to the rear tail section, including cosmetics, hardware bits, and technological alterations.

Aesthetically, the new 390 Duke received a LED front headlights that offering an aggressive appeal to the bike, that is carrying forward by the muscular fuel tank, new rear seat along with pillion grab rail which are streamlined with the sharp and edgy bodywork of the bike. Apart from this, the roadrunner will also gets a top shelves electronic package comprising a new TFT Instrument console, KTM My Ride, Smartphone Integration, ride by wire technology, etc.

Mechanically, the new Duke which will be powered by a 373.2cc single-cylinder, BS-IV compliant engine, will also be equipped with a reworked rear half frame and the new exhaust system. While the mentioned powertrain is rated to churn out the power of 44 HP @ 9000 rpm and torque of 37 NM @ 7000 rpm. The mill is coulped with a six-speed gearbox that is in association with a slipper clutch. A bigger 320mm front disc along with a smaller rear disc offering will take care the braking on the motorcycle.

Next Generation KTM Duke 200

Let’s move to the second yet compact engine Duke 200 offering, the Duke 200 facelift is expected to revived majorly on the skin front. The frame and design cues will be shared from the big brother. It will be adorned with new paint schemes, decals and a different headlamp assembly fitted with a halogen lamp. In terms of engine specs, a 199.5cc single-cylinder engine which currently churns 24 BHP of power at 10000 RPM and 19.2 NM of torque at 8000 RPM via a mated 6-speed gearbox transmission, will be updated to BS-IV emission norms and for producing more power and torque figures.
