The first and only adventure tourer of Royal Enfield, the Himalayan

Back in time, the Himalayan made its debut in the Indian biking industry in 2016. But soon after its introduction, the owners started complaining about various problems on social media including issues with the clutch, gearbox and excessive noise from the gearbox. That directly affected the sales of this first and only adventure tourer of the Chennai based auto major. As the reported sale of the motorcycle after three months of its entrance was disturbing, the bike maker managed to sell only 648 units as against sold 1,000 units in the initial phase.

In terms of pricing, the carburetor version of the Himalayan is available to purchase at the price tag of Rs 1.87 lakh,ex-showroom, Delhi. While the forthcoming BSIV Himalayan will be priced costlier than the carburetor model.
