2017 Suzuki S-Cross Facelift to be Launched in October

The 2017 Suzuki S-Cross facelift has been revealed ahead of its official debut at the approaching Paris Motor Show next month in October. This facelifted version of the S-Cross not only witnessed styling updates but also get modified engine line up with some additional features.

Flaunting the more characteristic and bolder appearance at the upfront, the major highlights on the revived S-Cross exterior are more angular headlamp assembly, newly designed LED taillights and higher ground clearance of 180mm in comparison to 165mm of the existing model. Inside the cabin, the noticeable features include soft touch dash with additional aids on the center console and the panoramic sunroof which offered as standard bits on the top end variant.

When launched, the 2017 S-Cross facelift will be available in three engine options at the authorized dealerships. The offered 1.0-litre BoosterJet unit will produce 111bhp power and 170Nm of torque from 2,000rpm to 3,500rpm. The other 1.4 liter Boosterjet powertrain will churn out 140PS power and 220Nm torque from 1,500rpm. Suzuki claims that the improved 1.4 liter can complete 0-100Kmph sprint just in 10.2 seconds and can easily attain the top speed of 200Kmph. The last in the options, a 1.6-liter DDiS engine smashed out the torque of 320Nm at low 1,750rpm.

The common features for all variants comprise Bluetooth, digital radio, cruise control, ESP, seven airbags, DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, black protective skid plate and wheel arch extensions. While, the top variant in the segment will be adorned with the utilities like LED projector headlamps, rear parking camera, satellite navigation, radar brake support(RBS), four-mode ALLGRIP system, dual zone auto air-con, a panoramic sunroof, and leather and heated front seats.

As expected, the Maruti could bring this facelifted S-Cross for the Indian motoring market soon after the required fitment for the Indian-specific buyers.
