2018 Mercedes-AMG A 35 Hot Hatch Spied While Testing

The next-gen Mercedes-AMG A 35 hot hatch is the less powerful variant of the Mercedes-AMG A45 hatchback. The new Mercedes-AMG A 35 is spotted recently while testing in Prague. As there is a gap between the A45 and other lesser models in the A-class range of the German manufacturer and A35 is exactly destined to fulfill this gap.

In the global market, it will compete the Audi S3, Ingolstadt Sedan and Sportback for being an AMG model at less price along with five-door hatchback and four-door sedan variants.

Expected Launch Date:

The new Mercedes-AMG A 35 hot hatch is likely to available in the international market from the second half of this year.

Specification:

The A35 is likely to get a turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine generating 330 bhp of power and 450 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine will be connected with Mercedes's 48-volt hybrid system and electrically-assisted turbochargers. The Mercedes-AMG will be in two models namely the CLA35 swoopy sedan and the GLA35 crossover. It is already announced by the Mercedes that A35 will take a newly built 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.

The AMG A35 has much of likes with the new-gen A-Class hatchback, which will launch soon. We expect that the AMG A35 hot hatch will come with a blacked-out grille, ORVMs, black finished headlamps air vents, and the edgier-looking side skirts and bumper. The revealing door handles and the roof suggest that they take a red color treatment.

The new hot hatch features a pseudo cladding on the rear section and a set of wide-multi-spoke alloy wheels. The A 35 is likely to obtain a bigger rear roof-mounted spoiler along with redesigned rear bumper, restyled taillamps, integrated brake lights, and a new exhaust system.
