2018 TVS Apache RTR 160 Gears Up to Launch on March 14

Post introducing, the Apache RTR 200 Race Edition at the price sticker of INR 95,185, the Chennai based bikemaker, TVS Motors is all set to introduce new year iteration of its Apache RTR 160 in the Indian lineup on coming March 14 as expected.

It is not the first time when the spy images of the test mule surfaced online. Though, the set of images this time is much clear and snapped without camouflage. The motorcycle is carrying a broad white stripe in the centre part of the fuel tank that perfectly blends with the panel placed under the seat. Also, this silver finished body panel is in contrast with the bikes’ gloss black colour scheme. It is one of the major changes that can easily be witnessed in a glimpse from the bigger Apache RTR 200.

Furthermore, the images are clarifying the equipment of accessories like mirrors and saree guard. Though, the advanced safety of rear disc brake misses out on this affordable trim with next-generation design language. The alterations which will be experienced on this upcoming are the replacement of seat lock into the rear fender, conventional handlebar, black finished front fork instead of golden one. The new set of black alloys has also superseded Draken inspired alloys of the bigger Apache.

Going to compete with the ace rivals such as Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Honda CB Hornet 160R, Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ-Fi, the 2018 Apache RTR 160 will be loaded with the similar powertrain performing propelling duties on the ongoing model. Though, the bike is likely to be in association with an oil-cooler and get detuned to perform much better than the regular model.

In terms of pricing, the bikemaker will tag 2018 Apache RTR 160 with an aggressive price tag to pose a strong competition against the Pulsar NS160 that is priced at INR 80,000 (Ex-showroom).
