2019 Honda Civic All Set To Launch on March 7 in India

Honda Civic is certainly one of the most stylish cars being offered by the Japanese automobile manufacturer in India and global markets. Honda is gearing up to launch the 10th generation Civic on March 7, 2019 in India. The next-generation Honda Civic will come with a host of new features, refreshed design, a new engine and elegant outside view. The potential customers can book the new Honda Civic via Honda dealerships stores in India but the customers have to pay Rs 51,000 as booking amount. As per the information surfaced on the internet the midsize sedan will be made available in three variants in India.

The ZX will be the premium variant of the new Civic. The midsize sedan will come with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is to be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The premium variant of the new Honda Civic will be having a smart entry, dual-zone auto climate control, 8-way adjustable driver seat, electronic parking brake and a multi-angle rearview camera.

The 2019 Honda Civic will get a host of safety features such as a smart entry, dual-zone auto climate control, 8-way adjustable driver seat, electronic parking brake and a multi-angle rearview camera.

 

Macpherson Strut suspension would be placed on the front side of the and Independent Multilink suspension on the rear side of the sedan. The new Honda Civic will get a Power Assisted-Electric steering which offers a turning radius of 5.85m. The sedan comes in the dimensions of 4656mm in length, 1799mm in width, 1433mm in height and wheelbase is 2700mm and has a boot space of 430 litres.

In India, Honda is offering Civic in a 1.8-litre petrol engine that delivers 141hp of power and 174 nm of torque. However, the petrol engine is available only with a CVT gearbox. A 1.6-litre diesel engine churns out a 120hp of power and 300Nm of peak torque but the Civic diesel engine option is available only in a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Civic petrol delivers a 16.5 kmpl of mileage while the diesel Civic is pegged at 26.8 kmpl of mileage.

The 2019 Honda Civic is likely to be available between Rs 18 lakh to Rs 22 lakh. At this price, the sedan will face stiff competition with rivals like Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla Altis and Hyundai Elantra.
