A Small Displacement Honda Adventure Bike Likely Underwork

The patent images of a small displacement adventure motorcycle from Honda have surfaced online. From the images, it is expected that the bike is a new, small displacement adventure bike project that’s underwork. Said to be focused to cater Chinese audience, the global debut and official launch of the bike is in darkness for now.

The leaked images reveal that the new adventure tourer is based on the chassis, underpinned Honda CB190R, a naked street fighter powered by a 184 cc single-cylinder engine. The engine churns out around 15.4 bhp.

If a small displacement adventure tourer is concerned, the Chinese biking industry has the availability of the same, the CB190X Fight Hawk. it was showcased in front of global audience during last year, but at the designing front, it is far different from the bike leaked in patent images.

Yet, the patented bike shares chassis from the CB190R as similar to the CB190X. But, it is matter of concern that Honda would offer two different adventure-styled small displacement models in China, with same power. Well, right now, the adventure segment is in demand and the advent of new adventure bike in same small displacement can help the bike maker in generating more sales.

Apparently, the patented bike features a different exhaust design as compared to both the CB190R and the CB190X that makes it a more off-road friendly model. Other than this, it features telescopic suspension and completely different bodywork.

Well, there is not much known about the bike, but the chances are that it could mark its presence in China in the next few months. India, which is renowned as the world's largest two wheeler market, has the Honda’s largest two-wheeler plant at the Narasapura near Bangalore. Honda has big plans for India in the coming next years but the bike maker has not revealed its future product development strategy. Currently, there is a 300-400cc model, which are expected for India, but a smaller adventure model could be some added impetus for the Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India.  But for this, the production of the model should be done in India only to keep its prices in check.
