ABS Equipped Mahindra Mojo Spotted During The Testing

Mahindra Mojo, a highly anticipated motorcycle that was launched in the country in October this year. As of now, the motorcycle is being sold only in single variant in the country at Rupees 1,63,000. The company had made an announcement that it will launch the ABS equipped version of Mojo in the country in April 2016 and now the company is working on the ABS equipped version to complete its commitment. Mahindra Mojo ABS spotted for the first time after the launch. The dual channel Anti-lock Braking System will be offered in the motorcycle, the spied images have been seen with testing kit.

This feature has been implemented in the motorcycle to keep the safety norms under the Government rules that will be applied in the country by 2017. As per the source, the ABS unit comes with the brand Continental while the brakes continue to be sourced from the same Spanish component maker, J. Juan that is a part of Mahindra’s Moto 3 racing team.

The Mahindra Mojo ABS is powered by the 292cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that has 27 BHP of power at 8,000 RPM and 30 Nm torque at 5,500 RPM. The power is kept under control by six-speed constant mesh transmission. Furthermore, the motorcycle is featured with front upside down fork and rear mono-shock suspension.

The company may raise the price of its dual channel ABS Mojo by Rs 10000 to RS. 15000. The few ABS equipped models available in the country that are KTM Duke 390, Honda CBR 250R, Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and TVS Apache RTR 180.
