April 2016 Marked 16 Percent Sales Hike for TVS Motors

TVS Motors, a big name in the Indian two-wheeler industry has been holding a tag of one of the leading brands since quite a long period. Apparently, the past month sales were a huge a treat to the automaker as it perceived the retailing of 2,27,096 vehicles this April and hence achieved a hike of 16% in the sales statistics as compared to the same period previous year, which marked the outgoing of 1,95,937 units.

The registered sales figure are enhanced up to 19.5%. Taking the notes of April last year, the company has witnessed the sales of 186,041 units while the bumped up figure reaches 222,350 in April 2016. On a whole, the domestic jump increased by 21.6% i.e. from 162,516 machines in April 2015 to 197,692 units in April 2016.

Precisely, the scooter sales in April 2016 were 63,341 units, which were only of 49,375 units last year getting a hike of 28.3%. Coming over to the motorcycle sales, an enhancement of 20.7% are being recorded for the previous month with 90,491 units were sold out. While in April 2015, on an all 74,953 bikes were retailed. Talking about the three-wheelers, the company has sold 4,746 units this time as compared to 9,896 units in April 2015.

When it comes to the exports, the overseas department covers total sales of 28,354 in April 2016 in contrast to 32,426 units last year. Exports for the two-wheelers raised by 4.8%, which means an outgoing of 24,658 units this April as against 23,525 in April 2015.
