Aprilia RSV4 RR Gets Tuned for Over 200 BHP at EICMA 2014

The Aprilia has already showcased its latest Tuono V4 1100 RR at the ongoing motorcycle exhibition event. Along with that, the firm has also come up with two more surprises, the Aprilia RSV4 RR and RSV4 RF. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer has designed these super sports liter-class motorcycles to strengthen its character in the World Superbike Championships. And, after showcasing the all new RSV4 RR and RF, the Aprilia has positioned itself in the list of those few two-wheeler manufacturers who are already enlisted in the +200BHP product line-up.

The Aprilia RSV4 RR is featuring a backbone of an aluminum dual beam chassis with pressed and cast sheet elements. The newly introduced motorcycle has been sharing pretty similar features from its predecessor. Besides the looks, the RSV4 RR features some fresh visual appearance, such as newly designed front fairing, LED running lights and headlamps and rear view mirrors decorated with blinkers. The super sports liter-class motorcycle has acquired a fuel tank having a capacity of 18.5 liters.

The Aprilia RSV4 RR is powered by V4, liquid-cooled engine carrying an engine displacement of 999cc. The motor is capable to generate a total power of 198.1BHP @ 13,205 RPM and a peak torque of 115Nm @ 10,500RPM. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed transmission. The braking power has been taken care by fully adjustable Sachs inverted front suspension and monoshock at the rear, catered by Brembo complimented with Bosch ABS.

Apart from the above mentioned highlights, the Aprilia RSV4 RR has equipped throttle bodies, air-box, intake ducts and 8 injectors. The Italian manufacturer has installed various advanced electronic equipments to improve the riding quality such as the latest version of the fly-by-wire technology, Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC), which mixes up the Traction Control, Wheelie Control and Launch Control systems. Above all this, the super sports liter-class motorcycle also offers three riding modes; Track, Sport and Race.

Besides to the Aprilia RSV4 RR, the firm has come up with another version, named as Aprilia RSV4 RF, which is an exclusive version from the company. The manufacturer will be producing a limited number of motorcycles, limits up to 400 units.
