Audi Brings A6 Facelift in India for Testing

The German automobile giant Audi is trying to cover maximum of the Indian market with nearly 10 scheduled launches next year that will also include the facelift of its major products as well. Now, as per the plan, Audi has brought its Facelift A6 sedan car in India for the homologation purpose. The car is expected to be launched early in 2015. The other car which is on the cards from Audi for the Indian market is Audi Q3 SUV. The Audi A6 will be tested under the norms of Automotive Research Institute of India (ARAI) and will be made available for sale after passing the test only.

The facelift model will be powered by a 1.8 Litre TFSI petrol engine, replacing the current 2.0 Litre TFSI model. The power outputs will be 175 bhp and 250 Nm with the high tune version producing 188 bhp and 320 Nm torque also available on it. The diesel version of the car has 2.0 Litre TDI engine producing 177 bhp power and 380 Nm torque. Both the fuel options will get the same 7-speed DSG twin-clutch automatic transmission.

Audi A6 Facelift 

Talking about the cosmetic changes, the car will get a new front grille, LED headlamps, re-designed bumper, air intake and fog lights as well. There also are new alloy wheels, side sills and indicator integrated tail lamps as well. However, the Audi A6 hasn't done well since its launch, but the Audi has trust that this time new A6 Facelift will be producing good sales volumes.
