According to the official sources, Audi – an automotive giant has taken the decision to call back its Q7 models in the US for an Airbag Control module issue. As per the investigation, this software which is integrated with the airbag control module has gone incorrect and is not according to the parameters of safety. It implies that the implosion caused by the crash can deploy the safety device for the front seats with so much exertion that it can brutally harm the passengers.
The models which were manufactured from the time period of August 30, 2015, to May 8, 2016, are on the suspicion list and all the 14,535 Q7 models are called back to fix this technical issue. The first incident which took attention of this fault occurred in March 2016 where an accident report exposed that 'an airbag not deploying according to the correct impact scenario'. This matter was immediately occupied by the company and they started to develop the updated software in May.

The cars of the same model in India are not affected by this fault and won't be recalled as a matter of fact. Whereas, Audi dealers will fix this issue by planting new airbag control module software with corrected 'parameters in the triggering algorithm'
Apart from this, the 2017 Q7 embarked its journey in U.S. early this year along with Indian début too.
