Audi India Introduces new Petrol Variant of A3 at INR 25.50 Lacs

After launching the A6 facelift, Audi has introduced a petrol version of its A3 sedan in the Indian automobile market, priced at INR 25.50 Lacs (ex-showroom). With the launch of this trim, the Premium Plus variant has been withdrawn from the range. This new A3 40 TFSI model is cheaper than the diesel model by INR 3 Lacs, thereby making the former an affordable choice for the prospective buyers. The car has been tweaked at certain portions, but at the same time due to the low pricing, some of the components have been sacrificed.

When compared to the discontinued trim, important features like front parking sensors, fog lights and the Tyre pressure monitoring system have been eliminated. Moreover, the 17-inch rims have been replaced with 16-inch wheels and the Xenon headlamps have been given away for the simple halogen lights. However, a lot of modern equipments are still present in this sedan, like multi-functional steering wheel covered with leather, Audi infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, AC vents at the rear portion, dual zone air condition facility with sun sensor, cruise control, driving information function, etc.

There is a 7-speed dual clutch S-Tronic gearbox that transmits power to the wheels, accelerating the new A3 to go from 0-100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.

At the launch event, Audi India Head, Mr Joe King was quoted as saying, “As it completes one year in India, we are happy to introduce this new model that makes an exceptional car even better. We are confident that the new features will further enhance the appeal of this Compact, Sporty, Progressive and Sophisticated sedan amongst the Audi enthusiasts.”
