Audi Q2 Edition 1 Unveiled Before Official Sales

Audi had started the production of the Audi Q2 in Germany previous month itself. The automaker has unveiled the edition 1 model before making it to the dealerships during September this year.

The Audi Q2 Edition #1 comes with a magnificent S line exterior package with sporty bumpers and decorated unique diffuser, distinctive Manhattan gray finish on the lower area of the body, C-pillar with the four white rings, and black exterior mirror housings.

The quantum gray body paint and titanium black styling package gives a different angle to the Singleframe and the bumpers, and other enhancements include height-adjustable sport seats, five-arm rotor design 19-inch wheels, illuminated aluminum door sill trims with the ‘S’ emblem, leather-covered multifunction sports steering wheel, leather package, fabric-leather seats in black and amaretto and titanium gray headlining.

Dimensionally, the Audi Q2 measures 4,191 mm in length, 1,794 mm in width and 1,508 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,601 mm and a 200 mm ride height. The Q series model is based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform and will be available with six engine options in Germany namely 85 kW (116 PS) 1.0 TFSI petrol, 110 kW (150 PS) 1.4 TFSI petrol, 140 kW (190 PS) 2.0 TFSI petrol, 85 kW (116 PS) 1.6 TDI diesel, 110 kW (150 PS) 2.0 TDI diesel and 140 kW (190 PS) 2.0 TDI diesel.

The engines will be mated to both 6-speed manual and 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission options. A standard front-wheel drive layout is available with optional quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.

Some reports reveal that Audi is planning a long-wheelbase version for China, and the extended iteration is slated for India as well. Also, an S performance variant is likely to arrive later.
