Bajaj Auto Revises its Commuter Segment Pricing Yet Again, Know the Reason

Once again, Bajaj Auto has revised the pricing of its entry-level commuter motorcycles. The 100cc Bajaj CT100 is now priced at INR 30,714 (ex-showroom, Delhi). That made it more cheaper than the TVS XL100 moped that is priced at INR 32,909.

Considering Bajaj CT100 demand in the market, the automaker reduced the prices of motorcycle by up to INR 3k to 3.5K. However, with this price revision, the company is somewhere witnessing loss on the sale of the CT100.

Besides bearing loss, the company do not have any issues with the motorcycle’s price revision as it not only helped in increasing sales but also the dealers and service centres are also happy. For this, Mr Kavin, the President of Bajaj Auto said, “we have reduced Bajaj CT100 pricing by up to INR 3000 to INR 3500. Importantly, it has been done considering the market, when the purpose be fulfilled there is an option for revising price once again.”

In coming months, Bajaj Auto can increase the price of CT100. But as of now, the motorcycle is being sold in big numbers that have need of a waiting period. For you reminisce, one of India’s most selling bikes, the CT100 is available in three variants. All uses, a 99cc, four-stroke engine with 8.1bhp of peak power and 8.05Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox. The bike comes featured with drum brakes as standard and uses 17-inches wheel. Besides, the company also offers an alloy variant of the CT100.
