Bajaj has given an expected news as the government mandated all the BSIV compliance emissions into the motors fitted within the automobiles. The company has raised the price of all its models by INR 700 to 1500 as per the model and trim, however, Bajaj Dominar 400 is totally out of this change and will be retailed at its promised price at the launch.

Earlier Honda, TVS, Suzuki and Hero were into the list of manufacturers who announced BSIV compliance products into their range. The government has given a timeline of April 1, 2017, by which every automobile manufacturer must convert his product line into BSIV compliant, and in this same point of view Bajaj has given the hike to its customers.

Bajaj Dominar 400 is totally out of this change and will be retailed at its promised price at the launch.

The reason of hike has also been uncovered as rising cost of raw materials like steel, aluminum, oil and rubber which has given an extra burden over the input cost or overall manufacturing costing of a product. Several other issues surfaced were dumping duties on the Chinese steel which has created a heavy payoff for the original equipment manufacturers.
