Bajaj Dominar 400 Attains 3000 Units Sale Milestone in January 2017

Recently launched, Bajaj Dominar 400, a flagship motorcycle from Pune based bike manufacturer, which has received the bookings of 2500 units within a few weeks duration of its launch, has successfully managed to sell all the manufactured number of 3000 units in January 2017. It could be considered as a good start for this offbeat yet performance focused motorcycle. Still, it is much far yet from the set target sales of 10,000 units in a month from the Bajaj house.

In this segment, the Dominar 400 is being considered as a real competitor of segment’s leader Royal Classic 350. That has indexed sales of over 35,000 units during last month. To reach this scale, the Dominar 400 has to wait to consolidate its feet in the market by proving itself in the same persona in which latter leads, the riding comfort and endless performance in every riding situations.

In an interview, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, shared company's plans regarding this cruiser sports Dominar 400 motorcycle, and said, “I can tell you that every single vehicle of the 3,000 we made in January was sold out. Of course at this stage we have a waiting period but that is bound to be the case at this point in the game. We are looking at about 4,000 vehicles this month and we can push production gently but cautiously to about 6,000 next month.”

powering for the Bajaj Dominar 400 power cruiser comes from the a 373cc, single-cylinderpowertrain borrowed from KTM house, which is reliable to pump out, an astonishing power of 34bhp along with 35Nm of peak torque. The cumulative generated power sent out to the rear wheel through a mated 6-speed gearbox transmission. As claimed, it can complete a sprint of 0-100kmph just in 8.23 seconds and can easily hit the top speed of 148kmph.

Furnished with an array of noteworthy features like a full LED headlamp with vertical Auto Headlamp On (AHO), split reverse LCD display, twin channel ABS and slipper clutch, the Dominar 400 is on sale in two variants. The Non-ABS variant is being sold at INR 1.37 lakh, whereas the advanced ABS variant is purchasable at the price tag of INR 1.51lakh. Both the prices are of Delhi authorized dealerships. Apart from this, Bajaj is offering multiple color choices include Twilight Plum, Midnight Blue, and Moon White, for the potential Dominar buyers.
