Bajaj Dominar 400 Left Royal Enfield Behind in 250-350cc Segment

Royal Enfield, which is known for its macho stance, iconic exhaust sound and the rich legacy across the globe, was enjoying its success journey from a long while in the 350cc and above segment. But, a recent emergent from Bajaj stable, the Dominar 400 is performing really well in the segment and giving a tough competition the Chennai based bike maker. Recently, the Dominar get succeeded in leaving Royal Enfield behind in terms of sales in this segment.

In February 2017, Bajaj has retailed a total of 3082 Dominar 400 units, and ranked over Royal Enfield models in the 350-500cc segment. However, Royal Enfield is still having a strong grip in the 250-350cc mid sized motorcycle segment which consists of Classic 350, Bullet 350, and the Thunderbird 350. As reported, it attain a hike of 32.6 percent with the disposed 5.44 lakh units in between April and February month this fiscal.

But a true performer, Bajaj Auto is getting ready to continue this competition in this segment which have a huge roam to evolve, by ramping up its production. Now, the bike maker is eyeing on a big target of 10,000 units sales in a month by September 2017. Besides this, the Dominar 400 which is currently available to purchase only in 30 towns, will become available in 200 cities by the end of April 2017.
