Yet Another Price Revision; Bajaj Dominar 400 Now Priced At 1,60 Lakh Ex-Showroom

When launched in early 2017, the Dominar 400 was carrying a price tag of Rs 1.36 Lakh for the base model. Whereas, the top end ABS variant was priced at INR 1.50 lakh. Since within a time interval of a year and 5 months, the flagship motorcycle has experienced revision in pricing several times.

Lately the motorcycle’s get updated in two months earlier in March. Here are a pricing comparison between the launch price and recent revised prices of the Dominar 400.

With gradual five to six price revision, the Dominar 400 has become costlier around INR 10,000, over 7.3 percent hike of the original price.

The last increment in pricing was in March 2018, that arises a question, why company is increasing price tag in bits and piece. Why don\'t they take the way like the TVS did with its Flagship Apache 310?

It showcases that company somewhere strategize to bring pricing at company’s acceptable levels. By introducing the motorcycle initially at an aggressive price tag and increase it gradually. That made the motorcycle overpriced.

A full-fledged Dominar 400 priced at INR 1.60 Lakh ex-showroom with features an all LED headlamps, dual channel ABS, slipper clutch, 35 PS and 35 Nm etc. None of its rival that costs same or around are not available with those features. So, raised pricing wouldn’t be an issue for enthusiasts as the Dominar 400 still proves a value for money bike.

However, the Dominar 400 did not get close to the company’s estimated sales. In March 2018, the Apache 310 more expensive than Dominar was just 578 units less behind the Dominar 400.
