Bajaj Introduces New CT100 and Platina Trims in India

Bajaj has introduced two new variants for its commuter range of motorcycles such as the CT100 and the Platina. The CT100 ES Alloy which is a range topping variant is priced at INR 41,997, while, the Platina ES Spoke, a new entry level offering from Bajaj stable is available at the price tag of INR 42,650. Both the mentioned prices are ex-showroom prices of the launched models.

The CT100 ES Alloy features are all same as the other available variants in the lineup, besides an electric starter and alloy wheels. Based on a double cradle frame, the bike underpins a 99.3cc single cylinder engine as the propelling heart. The mill in question generates the maximum power of 8.1bhp and delivers 8.05 Nm of peak torque to the rear wheel with the help of a mated four-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the Platina ES Spoke, that is relatively a cheaper iteration of the ongoing model, comes equipped with a 102cc DTS-i engine. The engine churns out the maximum power of 8.1bhp along with the peak torque of 8.6Nm through the mated a four-speed gearbox.

The CT100, that is one of the most selling motorcycles in Bajaj lineup, was re-introduced in 2015, in order to generate volume for the company. Other than this, the CT100B, a low-end trim of the same and is the most affordable available bike in the country. The bike is mainly focused on serving the audience belongs to the rural areas. With over 30,000 units sales as an average per month, the Platina has a considerable contribution to the Bajaj sales. The CT100 ES Alloy is tagged with a price sticker premium over the spoke wheel variant by minimum INR 3,300. While the Platina ES Spoke is on sale at the price tag lower around INR 3,000 than the top level trims.
