One of the renowned, Bajaj automobiles has been working on the Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS since it's announcement at a dealer’s meet in Turkey. Earlier, Bajaj launched its 150 model across India. Now, the bike lovers are eagerly waiting for the launching of Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS. The 160 NS is a modified version of Pulsar NS 200 and Pulsar NS 150. Visually, the naked bike is similar like Pulsar NS 200 and Pulsar NS 150. However, there are some additional changes in design and features.
The weight of Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS is 135 Kg which is slightly lighter than 150 NS and 200 NS model of Bajaj Pulsar. It is assembled with LED lamps along with halogen lights, Digital Instrument used in Speedometer and Tachometer along with the analog clock. silver finish, footrest, saree guard, good lens indicators, underbelly exhaust are some of the additional features. Beneath the fuel tank lies a 160.3 cc oil- cooled, 4- stroke, single cylinder, four valve engine along with triple spark technology feature. The engine is able to produce 15.3bhp of maximum power with a peak torque of 14.6nm at 6,500rpm. Bike lovers can run bike at a high speed of 120Kmph. The bike will be available in 5- speed gearbox.
Petal disc will be used in the braking system of both front and rear tyres. Anti- Lock Braking System is available on the front wheel of the bike. The size of the front tyre is 100/80-17 and the rear tyre is 110/70-17. It is expected that the new Pulsar 160 NS will be launched in India at the time of Diwali festival in 2017. It will compete with popular naked motorcycles like the Suzuki Gixxer and Honda Hornet in the Indian market.
