Bajaj Pulsar 250 Under Development, to Launch in 2020

Bajaj Pulsar that has been the best seller branding for the Pune based automaker. The company continued to keep fresh this sporty commuter category timely. This time, as per a report doing rounds on the internet, the brand is working on a new quarter-litre Pulsar, the Pulsar 250. In the existing Bajaj lineup, the upcoming is anticipated to supersede the Pulsar NS 200. The Pulsar NS 200 and the RS 200 share underpinning from the Duke 200 and the RC 200 respectively. Along similar lines, we consider the Pulsar 250 will be inherited from the KTM Duke 250. The powertrain will also be likely to be a shared unit (248.8cc) though in a different state of tune to pump out power output lower than the orange machines.

Further, the brand is most likely to continue its heritage of a triple-spark, liquid-cooled, SOHC engine on the Pulsar 250 which will generate around 28PS of maximum power along with the 28Nm of peak torque. While the transmission will be the responsibility of a 6- speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The braking setup on the motorcycle will be integrated with the dual channel ABS unit seen on the brand’s premium hyper cruiser the Dominar 400.

How will the upcoming flagship appear? It’s a question for every motoring enthusiasts as for now. Albeit, we can expect a muscular styling carried forward from the predecessors. Onboard features may consists, an LED headlamp setup along with a TFT console with Bluetooth connectivity. Also, the motorcycle will be compliant with the forthcoming BS6 emission norms.

The Pulsar 250 will be the most powerful bike under development ever after the Pulsar 220F in the lineup. FYI, the Pulsar RS 400 which was the much-hyped bike during the rollout of Dominar 400 is not under the pipeline.

If the pricing is the concern, the motorcycle will fall in the price bucket of INR 1.25-1.5 lakhs, near around the KTM Duke 125  pricing. Its introduction in the Indian market is expected in 2020.
