Bajaj has decided to unveil its new V12 in december this year. The new bike will be powered by a 125cc engine and will be seen with a price tag of Rs 56,200. The statement was confirmed by Eric Vas, president of Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Automobiles at the special show ‘Invincible Indians’. The show was basically in respect to 5 stories of ordinary Indians who made the Nation proud.
Just as its previous model, this Bajaj V12 will also be be seen as a commuter motorcycle, which is blessed with a body made by the metal of decommissioned aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. A logo of INS vikrant is also mentioned on a small part of the fuel tank of the bike. The production of the upcoming motorbike is already started and the bike is going to be launch by December, 2016, which is next month.
As we have mentioned above, the new Bajaj V12 will be powered by a 125cc engine, less than the 150cc engine of the Bajaj V15. The upcoming motor bike will be blessed with the similar design language as Bajaj V15, with just a single visual difference that the Bajaj V12 will be seen with an absence of seat cowl.
Bajaj took the decision to launch V12 after getting a fair response from the 150cc V15 motorbike, which was launched as as homage to the heritage of INS Vikrant, the only Indian aircraft carrier, which had offered an active duty in 1971 Indo-Pak war.
The Bajaj V15, launched in March 2016 has performed very well in Indian auto market with a sales of 1.6 bikes till date, the records are estimated to rise up to 2 lakh by the end of this year. By watching the performance of V15, it is not a surprising thing that the company has plans to launch one more variant of the model.
