Bajaj will be renovating its Platina pretty soon

Even after having a fast & furious schedule of releasing Pulsar 200SS, Pulsar 400SS and the KTM RC brothers releasing next week, the Bajaj Auto doesn’t stop working on its commuter segment motorcycles. Although, the company had announced that they will not heed over the 100cc segment motorcycles, but refreshing the existing models would be a brilliant idea to increase the sales figures of the motorcycle.

However, it seems that the company is in the doldrums due to the decreasing sales figures of the Bajaj Platina. Hence, the manufacturer has decided to rejuvenate the 100cc commuter segment motorcycle. It is expected that the Platina will undergo through some cosmetic changes only, which includes new graphic over the body, stickers over the fuel tank or it might have come in some new refreshing colors as well.

On the technical part, the motorcycle will hardly receive any mechanical changes. The Bajaj Platina will continue be using the same 4-stroke, air-cooled, Exhaus-Tec engine, which gives an engine displacement of 99.27cc. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox and is capable enough to generate a total power of 8.2 PS @ 7500RPM and 8.05 Nm @ 4500 RPM. The riding quality of the motorcycle can be enhanced by hydraulic telescopic front and rear forks. The fuel tank has carried a fuel lodging capacity of 13 liters, which gives you an efficient ride even while going to long routes also.

Currently, the 100c motorcycle is available in two variants; first one is alloy wheels and another one is spoke wheels. Both the variants are now available in the market, carrying a price range which stands in between Rs 37,000 to Rs 39,000. The braking system in both the variants has been taken care by drum brakes at both front and the rear.
