Benelli Postpones TNT 135 launch in India

The legendary Italian giant manufacturer, Benelli- that trades in a series of inline four-cylinder big bikes in the Indian market, also has a compact engined bike in its portfolio – the TNT 135.

Firstly, the mini bike was showcased at the 2015 EICMA show and until now, its Indian arrival did not take place yet. The promoters of Group Qianjiang- Benelli parent company had a plan of launching this super-cool mini bike in the Indian market, but DSK Benelli believes that the bike will not get succeeded in pulling that audience count toward this bike. And it is just because of its size and the price sticker at which it hit the motoring industry.

Well, a similar kind of experiment made by Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India, the Honda Navi, has been much appreciated by the audience owing to its off-beat design language and price, which is the least among all the scooters of Japanese giant.

The case of the TNT 135 is different, as it features a number of premium bits including USD front forks and a twin-pipe exhaust system. Developed on an exposed trellis frame, the TNT 135 follows TNT 25 design language and equipped fatty tyres, which give it a sportier look.

All these premium fitments not come at low price, so in order to make it accessible the company has to price it in the vicinity of Rs 1.35 lakh Rs 1.5 lakh.

Though, there are already a host of offering in the Indian market at this price range, they are the KTM Duke 200 and the Yamaha FZ 25, which are much good options with more features in this price range.
Currently in dilemma, the company is doing extensive market research for this product. And, the launch has also been delayed for a few months.
