Benelli Zafferano 250 Scooter Spotted Testing In India

The Italian two wheeler manufacturer Benelli is testing its upcoming scooter the Zafferano 250 in India, near Pune. The camouflaged maxi-scooter was first published by motoring portal TeamBHP.

The Zafferano is available in South-East Asian markets and priced at IDR 45,550,000,OTR (On The Road) in Indonesia. Which is approximately INR 2.18 lakh.

The quarter-litre scooter draws 21PS of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 20.83 Nm of peak torque from its 249.7cc single cylinder, fuel injected, liquid cooled engine producing 20.7bhp and 4-strokes. Other features includes the fuel tank capacity stands at 12-litres, while the under seat storage can house two helmets, a semi-digital instrument console, Braking duties are handled by dual discs up front and a single disc at the rear, tall windscreen, twin-pod headlight, a telescopic dorks at the front and rides on 14-inch wheels covered in 120 and 140 section tyres at the front and rear respectively. The scooter tips the scales at 155 kg.

DSK-Benelli India has already hinted on the new products to be launched. But the company is remained tight-lipped about the new maxi-scooter. The Zafferano 250 might be launched in the Indian Market 2017.
