Bentley has launched its new ultra luxury sedan Bentley Flying Spur. The price of the new car is 3.1 crore ex-showroom Delhi. Company has lot of expectations with this car in the Indian car market. They have plans to sale the car in the figure of hundreds by 2016-17. They will be launching their other products also in India to take the benefits of the respective scenario. They also have plans to launch an all new SUV. A total of 10% sales growth is estimated by the company this year.
Company’s regional manager (India, South Africa and Middle East) Cris Buxton said that India is a huge market for them and they believe in long term potential. Currently they are selling less than 100 units of their products in India which might go up in the figures of 100 plus. They also said that India has become a huge market for SUV segment and they can increase their sales with the launch of this new car.
Further they added that they can see new possibilities with their new SUV. Currently India’s contribution in the global sales is around 1% to 2 %, but they didn’t disclose the exact number of units getting sold. He said that this figure will go up by 5 to 7% in 2017. They have recently announced the launching of a new SUV to enter SUV segment also. The car will touch the global market by 2016. Company’s biggest market across the globe is America. China, Europe and Middle East come next to it.
Buxton said that their sales growth could go up by 10% this year. He said that the new car has a 6 litre engine which is faster and powerful than its earlier version. Their Loyal customers will enjoy the new Flying Spur very much. They added that the current economic slowdown has marked negative impression on the buying sentiment. However, they believe that they can do better in long term.
