Bentley to Embark Audi SQ7's Trick Diesel Engine in Bentayga

The journey of Bentley has been extremely wonderful for more than 95 years. With powerful exquisite machines, the brand has stood itself out as one of the most promising automakers in the auto market. Today, it is the proud owner of the pinnacle Mulsanne, the luxurious Flying Spur sedan, the extremely powerful Continental range, and the redefined SUV, Bentayga. The last stated has so far been available with just one engine option.

Thinking of it as a scant SUF would so not be true at any regard as it is standing as the most powerful car in the market today with 600 British Horsepower. Apparently, Bentley has planned to expand its portfolio with more than one engine choices and according to the reports of Autovisie, the British-registered company will soon embark a diesel trim in its model in question.

On an interesting part, it’s not just an ordinary engine, but the Audi SQ7’s trick 4.0-litre V8 with twin turbochargers and an electric compressor. The mill seems to be truly insane as it delivers a demented power of 435BHP besides the raving 664 lb-ft of torque in the Audi. As if this wasn’t good enough, Bentley has announced to tune it to produce more power when it will launch the SUV in the market sometime in 2017. On top of that, this is going to be the first offering from Bentley that’d get a diesel mill ever.

The reports also say that not only the diesel as an option would be introduced later but a more powerful speed version of the current model based on the identical 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 could be a part of the expansion as well. Needless to say, that version would be getting more oomph than the current Continental GT Speed, which sprints 626 horsepower. Apart from these, one doesn’t have to pay huge for the Continental’s gasoline V8 and it’d be lower-weight choice over the big twelve. Probable chances of the hybrid version are there as well.
