BMW 3 Series Facelift Revealed at GIIAS 2015

The renowned luxury car maker BMW has finally unwrapped the facelift version of BMW 3 Series in Indonesia at the 2015 GIIAS. The new version has been introduced with subtle yet significant changes on the cosmetic front. It gets a sharper look highlighted by a re-designed bumper both at the front and at the rear. Further, LED headlamps are optional while the L-shaped LED tail lights are offered as a standard feature. The fascia also flaunts revamped air intakes, whereas the bonnet and grille remain unaltered.

Moving to the interior portion, very few changes have been made in the upcoming 3 Series sedan. A chrome finishing has been imparted to the areas like AC vents, door panels and center console. It also sports a multi- functional steering wheel much like the earlier version, but with its controls coated with chrome. There is a sliding cover for the cup holders located on the console and an all new colorful Head-Up Display has been added to the cabin. The infotainment facility has been improved with faster 4G connectivity for the customers' convenience, particularly in the global market.

Coming to the mechanical aspect, the facelift model will continue to carry the existing engine options except the 335i variant that will be replaced with the new340i variant. The powertrain includes a 2 litre, 4-cylinder petrol as well as a 2 litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit pumping out 252 PS/350 Nm and 190 PS/400 Nm output respectively. Additionally, there will also be a twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder motor good enough to produce an output of 326 PS and 450 Nm.
