BMW is celebrating the completion of 30 years of the popular M3 sedan. It was launched in 1986 and was known as the compact and fast sedan of that time. As of now, BMW’s M division has manufactured the special M3 30 Jahre limited edition. It will be limited to 30 units in UK.
The M3 30 Jahre Edition is based on the standard M3 model but offer modern built and offers power output of 450 hp. It receives additional value added features such as dampers and stabilisers, adaptive M suspension, revised springs and modified Active M differential on the rear axle. Moreover, this new model stands on forged 20-inch wheels with new alloy design.
On the interior part, the cabin offers new sports seats with '30 Jahre M3' badging imposed on the headrest. The cabin is fitted with a harman/kardon music system with 16 speakers.
According to BMW, the limited edition model will be noticed due to its increased power and performance. The M3 30 Jahre Edition high performance engine comes paired to a 7-speed M DCT gearbox. It is claimed to sprint 0 - 100kmph in just 4 seconds, which is close to the standard model.
The M3 30 Jahre Edition is expected to go on sale later this year with a price tag of £82,675 (Rs 81.22 lakh). The first M3 sedan made its first ever debut in 1985 Frankfurt Motor show.
