BMW Motorrad India Launch in April 2017

The news of official advent of BMW Motorrad in the Indian market is from a long while ago. But, the German auto major had showcased its first product, BMW G 310 R at the 2016 Delhi Expo. it is the first ever developed product by the TVS-BMW alliance and was expected to launch at the same event. However, the launch had been delayed and did not take place since now. A speculated reason that company did not get satisfied with the quality of motorcycle yet, is being considered the major issue.

As per the sources’ reports, BMW Motorrad is going to hit the Indian tarmac anytime soon in April 2017.

BMW 1200GS

As it is self understood that BMW will not share car dealerships platform for the motorcycles. So, BMW will be setting up new dealerships in five cities- Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai.

With these exclusive bike-only showrooms, we can also see other bigger engined offering such as the F800GS, 1200GS, S1000RR, S1000R, R nineT and K 1600 GTL. However, all bikes will hit the Indian shores through CBU channels, except the G 310 R. As for now, BMW has no plans of assembling motorcycles locally in India till 2020, so, the company is focused to price motorcycle competitively, as reported us by our sources. All in all, the company will decide the local semblance of motorcycle depending upon the demand in India.
