BMW Recalled New Generation M5 Globally

BMW launched new generation M5 in 2017 worldwide and the model is not available even now in most countries as the company is taking time to launch the vehicle as it is among the popular sports sedans of the world. The Korean manufacturer has officially declared to take new-gen M5 back for some updates.

The reason for the recall is that the new BMW M5 may stall at some driving conditions as the software of engine control holds the fuel pump and this situation can be very dangerous as well. Although, the solution is to update the software for engine control system and after that, the new M5 will run as desired. The official recall will be initiated from 6th July onwards. The affected cars were built from 21 Aug 2017 to 17 April 2018. Therefore, the newly produced cars may be affected by the issue in the market. BMW also stopped the dealers to sell out the cars in stock as they may create a problem.

846 units of the car are recalled by the company which were infected with the issue. BMW also launched the new competition version of the M5 and it is expected to reach the market soon. The BMW is focussing to carry the competition M5 variant in India as it is the model giving a tough fight to the Mercedes AMG E63 S introduced last month in the country.

BMW has also declared a recall for 335d sedans which were manufactured in 2010-2011. The electrical power steering system is the problem in 3 series as it may stop the car. The vehicle can be quickly fixed with the positive battery cable connector to secure it. The total 6,591 units are affected by this problem and restricted to the USA only.
