BMW Uncovers New K1600 Bagger In America

BMW Motorrad has launched the latest version of K1600 Bagger in the American market. The advancement requisition from the potential bagger lovers has made the German bike maker to roll out this quirky creation.

Inspired from the last year presented Concept 101 at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the bagger stands on the same K1600 platform and is the sixth touring bike in this segment. Visually, the bigger in size, the 2016 K1600B has been crafted in swooping body language with lots of edges and sharp lines. On the aesthetic end, the remarkable features are an adjustable windscreen, new saddle bags with tail light fittings- these saddlebags are integrated with the redesigned sub-frame which can bear much more load than ever. The fully chrome-plated new silencers, and it also has reworked rear end to give the bagger a sharp look.

On powering, the motorcycle boasts the common engine package for the K16’s lineup, which means that 1632cc in-line six cylinder engine. The oil-burner belts out 160bhp and 175Nm at 5750 rpm with a fly-by-wire throttle. Importantly, a new optional reverse assist feature is also being bestowed that will be beneficial for the rider in tight parking spots.

Best suited for adventure touring and long highway rides, the K1600B is adorned with loads of features as heated grips, cruise control, riding modes (dynamic, rain, road) and dynamic traction control as well as ABS Pro and option selector on the left grip.

Moreover, the dynamic electronic suspension aids with two modes of road and cruise are also equipped on the K1600B. the road mode offers automatically adjusted damping duties to all speeds and road surfaces and the quite obvious cruise mode is simply meant for a comfortable ride at low speeds.
