Bookings for Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Facelift Starts in India

Maruti Suzuki’s Nexa division which deals in premium segment Maruti cars in India, has unofficially commenced the bookings for the 2017 Facelift S-Cross. The updated trim is expected to hit the dealerships anytime in the month of September this year. The booking amount for the S-Cross facelift has been fixed at INR 11,000. The changes which are going to be witnessed on the Facelift S-Cross is limited to the skin. While, the existing powertrain options of the outgoing will serve the impending one.

Under the hood, the 2017 S-Cross will be propelled by the 1.3 litre diesel that churns out 89bhp of power and a powerful 1.6-litre one belts out the maximum power of 18bhp. But the only top end Alpha variant will find the larger engine option. Other than this, a new 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine is also expected with the new variant. Apart from the manual gearbox, the automatic transmission option for the 2017 S-Cross is still in darkness.

At the designing front, the new S-Cross is expected to carry forward the similar lines as on the model globally showcased at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. At the decorative bits, the new model which is likely to be more sportier than the outgoing might feature a new chrome grille with vertical slats along with a heavily revived bumper with a radiator grille. At the same time, the placement of redesigned LED tail lamps give a new character to the updated model. The top-spec version with a larger diesel engine is expected to receive projector headlamps.

Inside the cabin, an updated instrument cluster with new MID and a new upholstery is probable. The new S-Cross which is being offered in the global markets gets the high tech features including a radar brake support (RBS), four-mode ALLGRIP system and heated front seats, that will be onboard India spec model.
