Bookings for the much-anticipated car from Tata Motors, the Nexon has been started across all the dealerships in India. The stylish compact SUV is subjected to launch here in the next month of September. While the deliveries are also promised late in the same month.
Radical in appearance, the sub 4-meter compact SUV, Tata Nexon features a muscular stance, coupes like roofline and some interesting styling elements such as big 16-inch alloy wheels and the flared wheel arches, that compliments its aggressive outlook. The front end of the Nexon houses a stretched grille neatly incorporated with projector headlamps accompanied by LED Drls. While the Nexon’s rear gets LED tail lights with the x-shaped ivory white accent that gives an attention pulling factor the SUV.
Inside the cabin, the dashboard is simple and straightforward in layout, which keeps a lot of control and switches borrowed as it is from the other Tata cars. The introduction of a 6.5 inch HD touchscreen system is all new at the top of the dash. In addition to this, the climate control, rear air-con vents and voice commands for the eight-speaker Harman infotainment system, are also expected with the top-end variants of the upcoming Nexon. While the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also in rumors to be provided at launch or later.
Under the hood, the new Tata Nexon will be powered by two all new engine units. One is 1.2L Turbocharged petrol engine from the Revotron series and the other that serves the Revotorq family is the 1.5L diesel engine. The power transmission on both the engines will be handled by the same 6-speed TA6300 synchromesh with overdrive manual transmission.
The safety concern on the 2017 Tata Nexon will be taken care by the front dual airbags, ABS with EBD and Corner Stability Control. Post-launch, the SUV will go in competition with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford Ecosport in the segment. Complete specifications and detailings of the new Nexon will reveal at the launch of the car.
