This year has been full of ups and downs for the automobile giants, where some fresh entrants were able to win millions of hearts, while some non-performing models had to be discontinued. The year 2015 saw some exceptionally mind blowing models in the Indian automobile market and as the new year is standing on the threshold, yet another stock is ready to be rolled out. So, if you are wondering as to what can be expected from the car market this new year, here's what you need to know!

Mentioned below is a list of cars that are awaited to make their way to the Indian automobile bazaar in the year 2016:

Mahindra KUV100

Expected Price: INR 5-7 Lacs
Expected Launch Date: 15th January, 2016

Mahindra KUV00 is a micro SUV or rather a crossover that is being endorsed by actor Varun Dhawan. The models has already grabbed a lot of attention, not only because of its features, but because of all the chaos that was going on regarding it's official name. Despite carrying a compact size, it's body is quite muscular and is fitted with elements like distinctive grille flanked by a pair of headlamps containing LED DRLs, rectangular fog lights, wide air dams, etc. Under the hood, there is an all new mFalcon engine fitted with a 1.2 litre unit in both diesel and petrol categories.

2016 Ford Endeavour

Expected Price: INR 24-28 Lacs
Expected Launch Date: 19th January, 2016

The next generation Ford Endeavour is going to be a tough yet attractive vehicle that will be offered with a host of appealing fitments. Form outside, it will be equipped with features like 18-inch alloys, three slat grille, bi-xenon headlights, panoramic sunroof, etc. it will get dual front airbags as standard for safety while the top end variant will be carrying 7 airbags. The diesel engine fitted under the hood will be available in 2 categories- 2.2 litre and 3.2 litre unit.

2016 Toyota Innova

Expected Launch Date: January-February 2016

The upcoming Toyota Innova is going to be rolled out in all new avatar that is nothing like its predecessor. The teasers, videos and snapshots have already created a lot of excitement among the audience and hence this is one of the most awaited cars of the year 2016. Talking about cosmetics, it will be adorned with chrome grille, projector headlamps, fog lights, L-shaped tail lights, shark fin antenna, etc. The interior flaunts equipments like captain seats, touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control and much more. Power comes from a 2.4 litre and a 2 litre motor in the diesel and petrol variants respectively.

Datsun Redi Go

Expected Price: INR 3-5 Lacs
Expected Launch Date: January-February 2016

This crossover will be pitted against the likes of Maruti Alto and Renault Kwid, which are already well established brands in the Indian market. Talking about the features, the exterior will be fitted with giant grille, rear spoiler, all new headlamps, pronounced wheel arches, sporty bumper, etc. The interior flaunts an attractive dashboard fitted with modern amenities and the safety features include airbags and ABS for the top end variant. Under the hood, an 800 cc, 3-cylinder petrol motor will be found and categories like LPG/CNG could also be introduced later.

Mercedes Benz GLE Facelift

Expected Price: INR 60-75 Lacs
Expected Date: January-February 2016

After launching the GLE Class, Mercedes is all set to come up with the coupe version that shall enter the Indian market soon. Brought in the country via CBU route, it will be available for sale in two variants namely GLE 350 d and GLE 63S. The former will be fitted with a 3 litre, V6 unit while the latter will be powered by a 5.5 litre unit. The modern and convenient features will consist of rear AC vents, dual zone climate control, COMMAND infotainment system, rear parking sensors and much more.

Maruti YBA

Expected Price: INR 5-8 Lacs
Expected Launch Date: February 2016

The upcoming SUV from Maruti Suzuki is all set to give a tough fight to the well established brands in the market including Ford EcoSport. The power will be derived from 1.3 litre and a 1.2/1.4 litre mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox along with an optional AMT facility. The cosmetic as well as comfort features will be quite appealing. Moreover, safety will be taken care of by components like dual front airbags, ABS, EBD that are available as a standard arrangement. Much like S-Cross and Baleno, the YBA will also be offered for sale at Nexa outlets.

Tata Zica

Expected Launch Date: INR 4-6 Lacs
Expected Price: February 2016

Tata Zica is an all new hatchback that is due for launch in the upcoming year which will rival other players in the segment like Maruti Celerio, Hyundai i10 and Ford Figo. The cosmetic features consist of mesh grille, smoked headlamps, alloy wheel, rear spoiler, fog lamps, mutli-function steering wheel, infotainment system, voice command and much more. As far as the powertrain is concerned, the petrol mill will be fitted with a 1.2 litre motor, whereas the diesel one will be available with 1.05 litre unit.

Mercedes Benz GLC

Expected Price: INR 26-30 Lacs
Expected Launch Date: February-April 2016

Unveiled at the GIIAS in August, the GLC Class is all set to replace the GLK Class by the first half of 2016 in Indian car market. Chrome grille, 20-inch alloys, LED headlights with DRLs, roof spoiler, exhaust tips and some other fitments will be found in the exterior portions. Interior will flaunt an Artico leather upholstery, three-spoke steering wheel, AC vents, Head Up Display, etc. the 2 litre 4-cylinder petrol motor will be found coupled to a 9-G automatic transmission unit.

Jaguar XE

Expected Price: INR 25-30 Lacs
Expected Launch Date: February 2016

JLR India is expected to launch this upcoming sedan at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo and the production will take place at company's Pune facility. Other models in the segment including Audi A4, Mercedes C Class and BMW 3 Series are some major rivals. Mechanically, a 2 litre engine will be found fitted under the hood in both diesel and petrol categories, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Some technologically advanced amenities like 10.2 inch dual view touchscreen and InControl Touch Pro multimedia system will also be found inside the sedan.

Honda CR-V Facelift

Expected Price: INR 21-25 Lacs
Expected Launch Date: February-April 2016

The facelift version of Honda CR-V is going to make its way to the automobile market with certain tweaked cosmetic features. The exterior boasts of wing face grille, captivating headlights accompanied by LED DRLs, restyled tail gate, chrome strip on rear, etc. Moving in, there will be a 7-inch multimedia infotainment with HDMI, three-angle reverse parking and lane change assist system will be present. The petrol motor consists of a 2 and 2.4 litre unit, while the diesel mill will be powered by a 1.6 litre i-DTEC motor.

Rolls Royce Dawn

Inspired from the age old Silver Dawn Drophead, this 4-seater convertible just looks ravishing and magnificent. Much like all other offerings by the brand, this one also carries a long bonnet, high shoulder line and a broad grille. From inside, the seats are elegantly designed and stitched in Mandarin leather the deck has been furnished in pure wood and there is also a multimedia system with a 10.25 inch HD screen. It has been tagged as the sexiest Rolls Royce ever built, which is quite evident from the images.

BMW 3 Series Facelift

Expected Price: INR 35-48 Lacs
Expected Launch Date: April 2016

The BMW 3 Series Facelift that was supposed to be launched in india by November 2015, is now scheduled to be launched by the year 2016. It's going to be showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo and will face a stiff competition from Mercedes C Class and Audi A4. The headlights as well as tail lights will be carrying LED units. Moreover, the bumper ad air dam will be restyled in order to distinguish this one from the previous version. Mechanically, there won't be any changes, which would mean that the same 2 litre 4 cylinder petrol mill will be found under the hood.
