Chevrolet Brings TrailBlazer SUV in India for Testing

The America car manufacturer Chevrolet displayed its TrailBlazer SUV at the Auto Expo 2012 Delhi, but it was never on the launching pad of the company for real. However, now the company has brought the car in India for R & D purpose and rumors are there that it might replace the low-selling Captiva SUV in India. Once launched, it'll be competing against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Mitsubishi Pajero and Ssangyong Rexton as well. The SUV is powered by the diesel variant which has come to India and is 4878 mm long, 1834 mm tall and 1902 mm wide in number, it also has a huge wheelbase of 2807 mm that is accountable to its spacious cabin.

Coming to the engine, the car has been powered by a 2.8 Litre 4-Cylinder diesel powermill that churns out 180 bhp power and 470 Nm of torque. There are two gearbox transmission options available that is 6-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual for the lower spec version. There also are 2-wheel and 4-wheel driver options too. As the car is spacious, it can accommodate 7 people in 2+3+2 layout version.

Now, talking about the features, then the TrailBlazer has many options like ESC, Anti-lock Braking, airbags, engine drag control, hill decent control, EBD, traction control, panic brake assist and much more. Now, I guess the car will be having good impact in the Indian market or this is what the company is thinking. Well, let just wait for the official word from the company.
