The highly anticipated and much-awaited update, the 2017 Honda City facelift has been finally launched in India after a series of speculations. The most successful marque in the country from Japanese carmaker, the new City is introduced in five different variants - S, SV, V, VX and ZX, with a starting price of INR 8.50 Lakh (Ex-Showroom New Delhi).
The base variant E from the older generation has been discontinued and a new top-end trim ZX has been introduced.

The facelift update to the City is a hope of the company for getting back the top sales crown of the segment it lost in the battle with Maruti Suzuki Ciaz few months earlier.
The Honda City facelift is a mid-life update and blessed with numerous changes in terms of aesthetics, mechanically, however, it remains identical to that of the previous model.
What’s new on Exteriors -
The new City rides on new 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The highlights at the front include a revised front fascia compliment by the new LED projector headlamps underlined by the LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and larger grille with chrome garnish.
At the rear, LED taillamps, boot mounted spoiler with integrated high-end brake light and a newly designed bumper with faux air dams will surely catch-up your attention.
How’s Interior -
Head inside cabin and a new large 7.0-inch smart infotainment display with a built-in navigation system will surely grab your attention. The infotainment system features 1.5GB media memory, MirrorLink connectivity for smartphones, voice command technology and also work as rear-view camera display.
Other interior highlights are a one-touch operable panoramic electric sunroof, reading LED lamps, leather upholstery, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, cruise control, rain sensing wipers and total six airbags (dual front, side and curtain).
Similar Mechanical-Specs -
No changes have been made beneath the front-end, the 2017 City continues to get power from a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol powerhouse (119 PS and 145 Nm) and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel-powered mill (100 PS and 200 Nm). Transmission duties will be handled by either a manual gearbox as standard or an optional CVT gearbox exclusively for the petrol powered mill.
