The firm has announced a list of 21 models that are its main attractions for the event, and in that index one is, the Africa Twin Adventure Sports Concept about which Honda says, “a concept model taking the adventurous spirit of its base, the CRF1000L Africa Twin, to a new level.”

Last year, at this Osaka Motorcycle Show, Honda had unveiled the CRF250F Rally concept that borrows the same chassis, engine and running gear from the CFR250L and that was wrapped in bodywork similar to that styling had been used in the CRF450 Rally. Prediction is like that the new Africa Twin concept will go down the same run to get the Dakar-Rally Africa Twin Concept form.

The Africa Twin gets power from the 1000cc parallel-twin engine that burst out the power of 94 bhp at 7,500rpm and torque of 98 Nm at 6,000rpm. The mill is constituted with a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed dual clutch transmission to transfer the generated power to the rear wheel. The adventure motorcycle will be assembled in India and will pitted against with Ducati Multistrada, Triumph Tiger Explorer and the BMW 1200GS, once launched. The anticipated launch of Honda CRF1000L may take place in the second half of this year.
