Datsun GO and GO+ facelift to go on sale on 10 October

Datsun has confirmed the GO and GO+ facelift will hit the Indian Roads on 10 October, 2018. The new offerings which were unveiled recently will come with a host of new features. Here’s a look at what’s in store for us...

Premium Exterior Elements

LED DRLs (like the redi-GO), 14-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels as well as controls for rear washer and wipe as standard stand to add a new spark to the looks of the Datsun GO twins. To top this, the Japanese Automaker will also introduce two new color variants to the twin line up. GO will get Amber Orange and GO+ will be available in Sunset Brown. In addition to this, the Datsun GO twins will continue to be offered in the current line of color options viz. red, blue, white, grey and silver.

Premium Infotainment

For a budget price tag, Datsun GO twins could be the new trend setters. Voice recognition, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support are some of the premium additions.

New Safety Features

With safety norms getting stringent by the day, the japanese automaker has equipped the new models with premium safety features. Both GO and GO+ facelift would be the first in their respective segments to offer ABS with EBD and brake assist, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, driver seat-belt reminder and follow-me-home headlamps as standard.

The Price Tag

Despite the segment first features, the 2018 Datsun GO and GO+ facelift will continue to carry a budget price tag. In fact, we would not be surprised if both offerings carry the same price tag as the retiring models. Presently GO is priced from Rs 3.38 lakh to Rs 4.41 lakh. The base variant of the GO+ is priced at Rs 3.95 lakh and its premium variant costs Rs 5.25 lakh. Expect other budget offerings from rival automakers to follow suit in upcoming months.
